2022 Day for Africa, indoor and outdoor exhibition at Nishi Honganji Temple and Square, Ximen

November 5th to 8th, 2022


African Group of Embassy and representatives in Taiwan, Embassy of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Nigeria Trade Office in Taiwan, Liaison Office of South Africa and Representative of the Somaliland Representative Office in Taiwan organize "2022 Day for Africa" with 4 days indoor exhibition, November 5th~8th, and 2 days outdoor exhibition, November 5th~6th. For outdoor exhibtion there are 5 African cultural groups (Senbe, aaFreeka, Higer Rootz, Tanzania Ladies and Eswatini Traditional Dance Group) invited to perform on the stage and 21 booths to sell the products from African countries, including Eswatini honey, soaps, South African wines, apples, rooibos tea and more. The opening remarks was delivered by Hon. Mr. Ibrahim A. Ahmed, Trade Commissioner of Nigeria Trade Office in Taiwan, and H.E. Fernando Wang, Consul General of Department of West Asian and African Affaires of MOFA.

Indoor exhibition from November 5th to 8th demonstrated African culture, art and crafts as well as the achievement of bilateral relationships between African countries and Taiwan. Dr. Richard Lin, Executive Director of ATEF also made guide tours for a couple of primary school teachers and students when they visited for outside school activity. The results of 2022 Day for Africa exhibitions are fruitful and positive.
